Friends’ 2009-2010 Annual Report looks back at our activities and achievements over the past decade.
Hudson River Park is now nearly 80% complete, and Friends is positioning itself to take on an even greater responsibility for raising funds for the Park’s operations and maintenance budget, and to make sure that when new sections of the Park are completed, needed funds will be available to sustain them.
Approximately $200 million in additional funding is needed to complete the Park, and additional funds must also be secured to assure that the finished Hudson River Park is always well maintained and never allowed to fall into dangerous disrepair as other parks in New York have before.
This report looks back at our accomplishments along Manhattan’s far West Side, and looks ahead to the future of Hudson River Park, and how Friends of Hudson River Park can most responsibly and effectively protect that future so that the Park can continue to be enjoyed by generations to come.
We invite you to remain a part of it.
