Joshua Zamir
Joshua Zamir is a managing principal of Capstone Equities and Capstone Equities Real Estate Fund I, a vehicle for commercial investments in the New York City and Washington DC markets. The fund’s most recent acquisitions are 156 William Street and 14 Wall Street. His primary responsibility is to seek out investment opportunities for the company and its equity partners and to lead all capital market relationships and financial structuring of deals. He shares responsibility for negotiating purchase contracts, structuring joint venture agreements with equity partners, and managing transaction closings.
He was a managing principal of Zamir Equities, LLC, a Manhattan based real estate acquisition and investment firm that acquired 2.5 million square feet between 2004 and 2006 including such prominent New York City assets as 44 Wall Street, 40 Broad Street and 132 West 31st Street. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of The Moinian Group. In 2002, he was named to Real Estate New York’s “40 under 40” list, which profiled New York’s brightest young minds in the world of real estate.
Besides being a Friends’ board member, Joshua also serves on the boards of AIPAC and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Urban Land Institute.
He received an undergraduate degree in finance and a graduate degree in real estate finance, from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University’s Business School.
