Private Passage
Stop by Pier 96 at 46th Street to see Private Passage. Created by Malcolm Cochran, this thirty-foot long sculpture of a wine bottle resting on its side was designed to look like a large passenger ship. You can view the bottle's interior through portholes along the side or through large circular windows in the mouth and bottom. A row of portholes along the top serve as skylights during the day, and, at night, the bottle's inside is illuminated by electric lights.
