The Millennium Garden, located at Charles Street, is the home of the public art installation known as The Apple. Designed by Stephen Weiss, the late husband of world-renowned fashion designer Donna Karan, this bronze sculpture is part of his Larger than Life series and honors New York City by symbolizing the city’s heart and the core of life. Nine feet tall and weighing three tons, it sits atop a circular bronze bench supported by apple cores.
